Here are some scanned-in brochures that I have. The first two brochures dating from 1972 actually came with my Beetle! I think Mr. Richards, the previous owner must have thought about changing his car - I have a business card from The Stour Valley Motor Company from Bournemouth (pictured with the price-list) with 'YJH 406M' written on the back. Perhaps this was the car he was going to buy? Luckily he did not (after all, 'GLJ 651D' had only covered 9,000 miles in 1972!) and decided to keep it. If you know anything about 'YJH 406M' let me know, as it would be interesting to know what my car was nearly replaced with!
The AutoCar brochure is an original road-test sheet for the Volkswagen 1300. It contains the specification and lots of details on this car. Very interesting to read!
All the brochures on this site were originally printed for the UK market, so the specifications will probably differ for say, the US market.
